If you were up in bonnie Scotland last week maybe you saw the Faultys making the rounds in a few different places across the country. The trio were out and about meeting, greeting and entertaining locals to celebrate the show’s 22ndbirthday AND to announce its arrival for Edinburgh Fringe 2019!
Our all-time favourite show swept across some of Scotland’s most beautiful towns and cities, including Edinburgh, Dunfermline, Perth, Dundee, Stirling, and Bamaha (Loch Lomond), ending with two jam-packed shows in Glasgow.
Faulty Towers The Dining Experience is 22 years old today (happy birthday to us!) and what a wild ride these 22 years have been. From humble beginnings in Brisbane in 1997, Faulty Towers The Dining Experience is now officially the longest running and most sort after tribute show of its kind and has been sold-out all over the world!
Company founder, Artistic Director and original Sybil, Alison Pollard-Mansergh, has been there every step of the way – from start up through to its first Melbourne International Comedy Show, Adelaide Fringe and Edinburgh Fringe appearances, to tours in America, Canada, Middle East, Europe, Africa and more. The show has been acclaimed by audiences and critics alike, appeared on TV and radio, cemented itself as a West End staple. It now tours year-round globally, with 12 teams of cast based in Australia and the UK. We think that’s worth a celebration!
Now on its 12thconsecutive year at Edinburgh Fringe, this year’s Edinburgh Fringe run will see Faulty Towers The Dining Experience become one of many shows now performing at our new hub: Imagination Workshop. Imagination Workshop is a colourful and classy 5-star hub in one of Edinburgh’s best luxury hotels: The Principal Hotel George Street. 2019 will be the first year for this brilliant new hub, and 11 amazing acts will be hosted throughout August.
We had such fun out on our mini-tour last week seeing the sights of Scotland! Enjoy some of our favourite images from our time away…
If the combination of the Faulty Towers trio and beautiful Scotland is giving you #goals, then come along and visit us during the Edinburgh Fringe Festival! We’ll have set up camp for all of August (1-26, excluding Mondays) at venue 119: Imagination Workshop, Principal Edinburgh George Street.
