Chaos in Australia!

We’ll be honest: since our huge, brilliant, horse-and-carriage level relaunch last year, Confetti & Chaos (reimagined from our show, The Wedding Reception) has been a bit quiet…

… or so it might seem. In fact, we’ve been up to our usual antics in venues around the UK, and quietly working on a big reveal (because who doesn’t love one of them?)!

WE’RE COMING TO THE LAND DOWN UNDER (again)!

Since Interactive Theatre International is proudly Australian, as are many of the staff members (including the one writing this blog), we thought it was only right to send our favourite, most disastrous wedding reception across the ocean for another round of (confetti and) chaos to land right on your back veranda.

So this June you’ll be able to wear your Sunday Best, bring along something borrowed and something new, and share in some of the best capers an interactive show could offer.

We’ll be introducing a mix of UK performers, hot off London’s West End, and Australian gems for that True-Blue touch! We’re actually shipping our UK stars out early to get in some intense rehearsal time ahead of the tour (of which we will update you on later in June).

Joining us for this wild ride: Aussie performers Monique Lewis-Reynolds (who also plays a Sybil in Faulty Towers The Dining Experience) and Nicholas Richard (one of our Manuels); and UK actors Nerine Skinner and Otis Waby. All are brilliant performers in their own right so we are dying to see the team come together.

OK… so here is the tea on where we will be across Australia…

17 June: Bribie Island Bowls Club

19 June: The Village at Redcliffe

20 June: Caloundra Power Boat Club

21 June: Brisbane Golf Club

22 June: Arundel Hills Country Club

27 June: Goulburn Workers Club

28 June: Mittagong RSL

29 June: Dee Why RSL

We’ll keep you up-to-date on rehearsals and the tour but for any further information on our plans Down Under, follow this link.

We’re not being funny, but if you can get your hands on a couple of tickets, we truly recommend it. Critics say it’s unmissable, and we really do come once in a blue moon…

That’s all from us right now! We’ll check in again soon. In the meantime, here are some images from our run chaotic run at Edinburgh Fringe last year (2018). There’s a trailer too, just for fun.

If you miss us in Australia this time around, watch out for us next year.

And you can always catch us at the Edinburgh Fringe Festival: this year Confetti & Chaos is a headlining act at the new Imagination Workshop hub, at the 4-star Principal Edinburgh George Street Hotel. Click this link to find out more about all our exciting Edinburgh events and more!
